Exceptional Brass and Pottery Aesthetic Chandelier

circa 1876, attributed to Archer and Pancoast, New York, the standard decorated with turquoise-ground pottery mimicking cloisonne, terminating in a steeple finial, the bold, carved arms with steeple point finials and decorated with aesthetic patterns and floral medallions, the lower edges set with large fan-form gas keys, with period engraved glass aesthetic shades.

A related chandelier sharing most of the metal elements as the present chandelier is illustrated in plate 84, of the National Park Service's "Gaslighting in America" website

Condition
In fine condition. No sign of damage or missing parts. Electrified. Retains a matched set of period crown-top shades. The central pottery element is slightly loose and the bolt needs to be tightened.
